Genoveva Chavez Community Center After-School Program
Fun, educational and safe programming for ages 6 to12 (proof of age required for 6-year-olds). Weekly sessions starting Sept. 7, 3-6 p.m. Monday through Friday. $50 per week includes a daily snack. Transportation is available from Kearny, Chaparral and Pinon Elementary. Activities include sports, swimming, ice-skating, games, outdoor play and arts. Girls Inc. After-School Program
At Girls Incorporated, every girl has the right to be herself and express herself with originality and enthusiasm. After-school Program at two locations: Downtown (Hillside and Paseo de Peralta), and Southside (Tierra Contenta neighborhood at Jaguar and Country Club). Santa Fe Children’s Museum After-School Club
Discovery & Play After-School Club is an enriching after-school program for first-, second- and third-graders beginning August 23. This program will use all the great resources of the Santa Fe Children’s museum and will focus on art, creativity, environmental education, and emotional intelligence. $30, $40, and $50 per week options. YMCA of Santa Fe Fun TYmes After-school Care
Offering onsite programs throughout the school year at Chaparral, Piñon and Atalaya Elementary Schools, with Acequia Madre and Wood Gormley Elementary students bused to Atalaya. Children are engaged in activities that demonstrate their talents and interests. Time set aside daily for “homework help.” YMCA staff is knowledgeable, providing a safe, fun and challenging environment where children can grow in a positive manner. FACT After-School Art Classes
Fine Arts for Children and Teens. Explore drawing, painting, sculpture, collage and printmaking. Youth learn vocabulary, history, and skills in positive critique as they create their own works. Six-week sessions start in September, from 3:30-5:30 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays. Teen workshops every second Saturday of the month, September through December. Children’s Dance Program
The Children’s Dance Program offers classes for ages 2and up.The younger kids have creative movement and gymnastics. The older kids are introduced to ballet, modern, tap and jazz; all of the children have gymnastics. Participating children will have the opportunity to perform at the James A.
