Faith (age 11) and Logan (7) Velez attended a fishing clinic at Alto Park with their father, Ray Velez, in May. This fall they will transfer from Sweeney Elementary to Gonzales Community School. In the meantime, they’re looking forward to fishing, swimming, visiting their grandmother in California and (for Logan) playing with Legos! The clinic was sponsored by the Santa Fe Watershed Association and the New Mexico Game and Fish Department, in preparation for their annual Santa Fe River Festival and Fishing Derby, June 5 in West DeVargas Park; see our Summer calendar.
